Re: Team vs Newcastle
When did Sakho return from his international travels.... I wouldn't be surprised if Bilic takes the opportunity / excuse to start Jellovic instead of Sakho tonight. With both Sakho and Carroll on the bench as required.

Re: Team vs Newcastle
Personally I would go with the same team as Liverpool. I can understand people saying we need to alter the team at home but I think we are much less open if we continue with Tomkins and not go with Jenkinson.

The only change I possibly could see would be Lanzini or Obiang dropped for Moses.

So either the same team at Liverpool

or a 4-3-3
Kouyate Obiang Noble
Moses Sakho Payet

or 4-2-3-1
Kouyate Noble
Lanzini Payet Moses
Sakho

Harsh on Lanzini but here to win a football match. Exploit there fullbacks which are weak and also providing defensive cover for their wingers who are their most dangerous players

That front 3 behind Sakho has abit of everything

I think you'd be a great improvement on Carlton Trundle!! ;o)

I'm not writing him off, Grumpster. I think he's a vast improvement on the man he's replaced (Cole). I just think if everyone's fit, he'd be on the bench at most.

Tough one.

I like the idea of sticking with a winning team, but the set up away from home ought to be different to home games.

Therefore, Obiang on the bench, Moses in would be my only change. The Jewel had a great game at Liverpool, otherwise I'd be tempted to put Antonio in as well.

Re: Team vs Newcastle
My Hull season ticket colleague actually thinks we are going to be pleasantly surprised with Jelavic and that we're writing him off far too quickly.

Still find it hard to change the winning team from Liverpool though with the exception of Jenkinson coming back in, but gonna be lovely having a bench that strong for once.

Moses in for me!

Re: Team vs Newcastle
Given our track record with strikers and injuries, I'm sure he'll get a chance. But that's the only way he competes for a place in the starting 11 for me. We have better strikers when they're fit and on form.

>>> He'll be used barely, hopefully. We have better strikers. He's obviously signed as back up.

Maybe. It would be good for us if he actually competed for a place in the starting 11. He's a fairly established prem-level player after all.

Will be hard to change a winning team and I dont think Bilic should either. We have the chance to bring on the likes of Carroll, Moses and Antonio. Would cause all sorts of dramas. very confident for tonight.

Harsh on Obiang to get dropped, but it's horses for courses. Lanzini and Moses would mean a team that plays with width and tries to stretch the opposition (which I think we need to do at home) where's a midfield of Noble, Kouyate, Obiang and Payet will automatically be very narrow, and more suited to an away performance.

Cracking bench with 5 potential game changers, and will be even stronger once Adrian, Carroll and Valencia return.

Is Carroll definetely fit now?
If so would be great to se him come on against the tooooon.

Slav will chose aatchday squad and then chose the best X1 to start with and the best to finish with .

We look pretty weak in the goalie department and the absence of a defensive full back for the squad remains a concern.
